| Description | $ 6.1 million grant was recently endorsed by the UNDP – United Nations Development Program to part finance a $ 13.9 million project to develop 23,000 feddans land around the High Dam Lake. Project is scheduled for completion in 5 years. Project targets to settle 4,600 persons on that land to be divided in six colonies & provides for the construction of 4,600 houses, also of 290 km long roads to link the colonies with the farming areas. Project goes under sponsorship of the Ministry of Agriculture. |
