| Description | Media reports have recently revealed some details of Egypt plans to build/ revamp several sports stadiums to host the African Cup Games in 2006, also to consolidate Egypt position while competing for the 2010 football world cup games . Plans provide for a new 80,000 spectator’s stadium in Alexandria & another 45,000 spectator’s stadium in Ismailiya. Plans also provide for the extension of the Suez Canal Authority stadium in Suez to host 45,000 spectators, for the rehabilitation of the Cairo Sports stadium ( 72,000 spectators ), of the Arab Contractors stadium ( 45,000 spectators ) , also of another stadium in Suez. All above projects are scheduled for completion before 2005. |
