| Description | According to Eng. Ali Maher Ghoneim, Chairman of Delta Fertilizers Co., a new fertilizers project is now planned in Talkha involving almost L.E. 2 billion + investments ( about Euro 235 million ). He indicated that PBDAC – Principal Bank for Development & Agricultural Credit, has agreed in principle to have a 20 % share therein, also fertilizers distributors would cover further 25 % of the shares. As to Delta Fertilizers Co. share, so he said to would range between 10 – 15 % with the remaining shares to be covered by Egyptian & Arab investors. The project would have an annual design capacity of 635,000 tons of urea fertilizers. It would benefit greatly from Delta Co. infrastructure such as the gas pipelines, the electricity, water & roads networks, the railway links & the residential colony. Meanwhile works are said to be progressing on other three similar factories in Helwan, Alexandria & Suez, which, together with Talkha plant, would add 2.4 million tons of urea annually to the present annual capacities of 8.5 million tons. |
