| Description | Request for expression of interest among consultants & contractors regarding an integrated solar combined cycle power plant project in Kuraymat under funding applied for by the World Bank & the Global Environment Fund among other lenders. Contracts involved are (a) EPC cum O & M contract for engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, testing & for 5 years operation & maintenance, (b) Consulting services contract for the project management. The project is located in Kuraymat, 95 Km to the south of Cairo on the eastern side of the Nile. It comprises two gas turbines of about 40 MW capacity each, one steam turbine of about 70 MW capacity, one parabolic trough solar field to generate about 200 thermal GWh/a of solar heat plus all other associated equipment. Job goes under World Bank guidelines, current edition, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. As regards contracts for consultancy services, they would be selected according to the World Bank Guidelines for selection & employment of consultants by World Bank borrowers.
