| Description | A delegation of the Egyptian Ministry for Civil Aviation, headed by Eng. Ibrahim Manaa, Chairman of the Holding Co. for Airports, is said to have departed to Washington DC, with other Ministry executives, to sign final agreements with the World Bank on two loans worth $ 280 million & $ 55 million endorsed earlier to Egypt thereby. Loans are to back the Cairo Airport third terminal project & Sharm El Sheikh Airport revamping scheme. Upon their completion, Cairo Airport would have an annual capacity to handle 11 million passengers, also Sharm El Sheikh Airport to handle 2,500 passengers per hour. Meanwhile eight international contractors were short-listed to bid for the Cairo Airport third terminal project. |
