| Description | According to Dr. Mamdouh Al Beltagi, Egypt Minister of Tourism, the Italian investor who has earlier expressed interest to proceed with $ 2 billion tourist, sports, recreational & curing complex on an Island in the Red Sea, Al Gefton, has recently discussed & reviewed the project with Prime Minister, Dr. Atef Ebeid, under attendance of the Italian Ambassador to Cairo & the Red Sea Governor. Media reports indicated that the Prime Minister has asked the Italian Party to submit a concrete proposal specifying the investor commitments & his requirements from the Egyptian authorities. He further requested the investor to avoid providing for additional hotel capacities due to the existence of ample such capacities in Hurghada at present, finally to provide for a strict protection of environment. |
