| Description | Request for prequalification applications from international eligible applicants/ contractors/ manufacturers regarding the 500 kV GIS type substation package of Cairo/ Alexandria transmission system project going under funding from JBIC - Japan Bank for International Cooperation. Project will consist of two packages : (a) 500 kV GIS type gas insulated substation [ subject of this announcement ] & (b) 500 kV transmission line, reported on earlier. Applicant can be a sole entity, a lead-partner of a joint venture or a consortium. Scope of work includes, but not limited to, design, fabrication, furnishing, delivery, installation, training, testing, start up & commissioning for 500 kV gas insulated substation including the following (a) three 500 kV bays substation, double bus, double breaker [ including control, protection & communication equipment ], (b) four - single phase - each 167 MVA, 500/ 220 kV auto transformers, (c) outdoor equipment related to GIS, transformers & transmission lines connections, (d) related civil works such as GIS building & control room, (e) electromechanical works including HVAC, lighting, small power, fire alarm, fire fighting, grounding, .. etc. Prequalification documents for the package will be available from WDEPC offices against payment receipt of $ 1,000 to be effected at National Bank of Egypt, Zizinia Branch, Alexandria, to account No. 11/ 111.
