| Description | Contracts worth L.E. 32 million were recently signed to extend water, electricity & natural gas supplies to Al Robeiki Project, next to Badr City, where leather tanneries & factories would be relocated from Old Cairo [Misr El Adima] District. Representatives of the Ministry of Housing, Ministry of Electricity & Energy & the Ministry of Petroleum have signed the contracts with the IMC – Executive Organization for Industrial & Mining Complexes. Implementing agencies include: (a) the New Urban Societies Authority to avail water supply for the project first phase under L.E. 14 million contract, (b) REA – the Rural Electrification Authority to avail electricity supply under L.E. 7 million contract & (c) EGPC – Egyptian General Petroleum Corp. to avail natural gas supplies under L.E. 11 million contract. Jobs are financed under an Italian grant arranged within the debt swap program. |
