| Description | A recently held ministerial meeting has reviewed a national plan put to boost local manufacture component in a wide variety of industries & sectors. Involved are the energy, petroleum, also water & wastewater sectors. Further involved are the pharmaceuticals industry, hospital equipment, the spinning & weaving industry, also feeder industries serving the automotive & household appliances industry, the agricultural machinery industry, the fertilizers & the cement industry. The meeting also concluded the need to study & evaluate existing customs duties, developing new legislative & financial incentives to support the said plan. It further concluded the need to link the plan with the existing R&D centers, design companies & related databases. |
